Hi there, My laptop c rashed and my husband managed to put my original operating system on whi c h is OS X 10.9.5. I lost everything and my battery doesn't work any longer. I'm now trying to upgrade the operating system however I c an't seem to find any available option for an upgrade. When Software Update says that your Mac is up to date, the installed version of macOS and all of its apps are also up to date. That includes Safari, Music, Photos, Books, Messages, Mail, Calendar and FaceTime. To automatically install future updates, including for apps that you got from the App Store, select 'Automatically keep my Mac up to date'.
